Why "Monk-Made" and why local?
All of our premium coffees, preserves, and creamed honey are produced in monasteries. After all, it was monks who, throughout the Middle Ages, preserved and developed the science of homemade food and beverages. Out of gratitude for that historical contribution, we support modern-day communities of monks who support themselves with their own know-how. We invite you to try their premium products. You'll never go back to ordinary store-bought.
And local foods support our neighbors and the local economy, as well as possible health benefits in the case of honey.
